Colomba Easter Cake

Celebrate this Easter with a delicious artisan Colomba, a light, naturally leavened aromatic cake, flavoured with candied orange peels
and real vanilla. La Colomba, literally dove, is the traditional Italian Easter cake, baked in the shape of a dove to signify peace, hope and renewal. Our Colomba dough is naturally leavened overnight using a 40 year old mother yeast and next morning is mixed with a richer dough, made with local honey, organic eggs and sulphite-free candied fruit peels. Left to rise twice more, the final touch is a traditional crunchy almond glaze topping with whole nuts, before the cakes are ready to bake.

Candied orange (orange, caster sugar, glucose syrup, vanilla infused from vanilla pods), WHEAT flour, BUTTER, sugar, fresh organic EGG yolk, Italian ALMONDS, orange peel, Italian acacia honey, orange syrup (caster sugar, orange peel, Italian acacia honey), lemon peel, sea salt, BARLEY malt, vanilla infused from vanilla pods.
Icing: caster sugar, fresh organic EGG yolk, Italian ALMONDS, cold pressed sunflower oil, rice flour, WHEAT flour, HAZELNUT paste (100% hazelnut content).

Store away from heat & light. Once opened reseal to maintain freshness & consume within 4 days.
